What is ShakeOut BC?

That is the shorthand name for “The Great British Columbia ShakeOut” a province wide earthquake drill where people are asked to Drop, Cover and Hold On. It is happening on January 26th, 2011 at 10 AM PST, and has been organized by the BC Earthquake Alliance. In this short video NRCan seismologist will describe the damage he saw after the 2010 Chilean earthquake and what BC might expect from a similar event.
