Magnitude 4.4 - 11 May 5:58 p.m. PDT - west of Vancouver Island, BC
There is an ongoing swarm of light earthquakes occurring about 150 km west of Vancouver Island. Since April 22 there have been 12 events larger than magnitude 4 and many smaller ones. The largest has been magnitude 5.0 on May 04. See details below. These earthquakes are too far offshore to be felt. Such swarm behavior is typical for offshore fracture zones and the swarms typically last from a few days to a few weeks.
